Virtual physics and chemistry simulations that bring practical experiments to your classroom—safe, affordable, and always accessible.
South African schools face real barriers to providing quality practical science education
Lab equipment and chemicals are expensive. Many schools cannot afford to replace broken glassware or stock dangerous chemicals needed for CAPS practicals.
Chemistry experiments involve hazardous materials. One accident can lead to injuries, liability issues, and parents pulling students from practical sessions.
With 40+ students per class and limited lab space, many learners never get meaningful hands-on time. Some only observe while others perform experiments.
Give every student unlimited, safe access to CAPS-aligned practical experiments. No equipment costs. No safety risks. No scheduling conflicts.

Select the grades you need (10, 11, 12, or all three). Each grade includes curriculum-specific physics and chemistry simulations.
Receive a secure school link and access codes. Share with your science teachers who can distribute to students—no individual accounts needed.
Learners run experiments, take measurements, capture data, and generate reports for their practical assessments. All from any device with internet.
Current offerings designed for NSC and IEB curriculum requirements (expanding 2026)
Analyze motion by measuring time intervals on ticker tape recordings. Students learn to calculate velocity and acceleration from real experimental data patterns.
Covers: Uniform and non-uniform motion, velocity calculations, acceleration graphs
Investigate the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration. Students conduct systematic experiments to verify F=ma with precision measurements.
Covers: Force-acceleration relationship, mass variation, Newton's laws
Explore conservation of momentum through collision experiments. Students measure velocities, calculate momentum before and after collisions, and verify conservation principles.
Covers: Conservation of momentum, elastic/inelastic collisions, impulse
Explore phase changes and energy transfer as water transitions between solid, liquid, and gas states. Students plot temperature changes and identify phase transitions.
Covers: Phase changes, latent heat, energy transfer, temperature plateaus
Investigate the inverse relationship between pressure and volume of gases. Students manipulate variables and verify that pressure × volume remains constant at fixed temperature.
Covers: Gas laws, pressure-volume relationship, graphing P vs 1/V
Perform precise titrations to determine unknown acid or base concentrations. Use burettes, pipettes, and indicators properly without risk of chemical burns or spills.
Covers: Titration technique, neutralization, molarity calculations, endpoint detection

Your school receives a secure access link and codes. Science teachers share this with their students via WhatsApp, email, or your LMS. Students click the link and enter the code—no individual registration needed. They can access from any device with internet.
Yes. All Sim Labs simulations are aligned with CAPS curriculum requirements and DBE guidelines for Physical Sciences practicals. Students can export data and readings that meet practical assessment criteria for both NSC and IEB examinations.
Simulations work on mobile data and low-bandwidth connections. The platform is optimized for South African internet conditions. Once a simulation loads (typically under 10 seconds on 3G), students can complete the entire experiment. We also offer offline data collection worksheets as backup.
Both. Students can access simulations anywhere—in computer labs, at home, or on their phones. This flexibility means they can redo experiments for better understanding, complete practicals as homework, or catch up if they missed class. No scheduling conflicts.
Each simulation has a built-in data export feature. Students capture their measurements, readings, and observations, then download a formatted data sheet. They use this to complete their written practical reports as per normal CAPS requirements.
Every subscription includes access to our teacher dashboard with guides on integrating simulations into lessons, suggested pre-lab activities, and post-lab assessments. You'll also receive email support and, for Complete Bundle schools, quarterly training webinars to maximize the value of virtual practicals.
Yes. We're expanding our library throughout 2026 to cover additional CAPS practicals across all FET grades. Complete Bundle subscribers get early access to new simulations at no extra cost. Your license grows more valuable as we add content.
We understand budget cycles. Start your 2-week trial now and experience the platform. We can hold your early bird pricing if you need to secure budget approval from your SGB or district for the 2026 academic year. We also discuss payment plans for schools with constrained cash flow.
